Kenny Renshaw, at just five years old, has already been raising some money for our support service.
Kenny was initially diagnosed with a brain tumour last year, but has since been rediagnosed with Encephalitis . To say thanks to brainstrust for supporting him and his family, Kenny decided to set himself a sponsorship challenge.
“As a family we received great support from Pete and brainstrust when we had Kenny’s initial diagnosis of a brain tumour last November, which after surgery has been redignosed as Encephalitis. Kenny decided to learn to ride a bike without stabilisers then send donations to brainstrust. And the challenge was to do it before his sixth birthday”
– Caroline Renshaw, Kenny’s mum
Well, Kenny only went and completed his challenge in 3 days! What a star.
Thank you Kenny. We hope you’ve rewarded yourself with lots of fun bike rides!
If you, like little Kenny, would like to take on a challenge for brainstrust, so that we can support more people in the UK to feel less afraid, less alone and more in control in the face of a terrifying brain tumour diagnosis, then we’ll help you with it every step of the way. Visit our team brainstrust page to pick one of our challenges or simply get in touch with email@example.com if you’d like to plan one of your own.
