brainstrust is the UK’s leading brain cancer charity. For the past 20 years, we’ve been dedicated to supporting people living with a brain tumour and those who care for them. Our work improves lives through personalised support, information, and advocacy, ensuring that everyone affected by a brain tumour can make informed choices and feel less alone.
Our services are co-produced with the people we help and are rooted in coaching principles and practices. People come to us for one-to-one support, peer support, webinars, events, and practical resources. brainstrust also campaigns for better care, fairer access to trials and treatments, patient-centric research, and greater awareness and understanding of the impact of brain tumours.
Through our own history, and 20 years of listening to the people we’re here for, we know what it feels like, and what challenges you face when you are diagnosed with a brain tumour.
Our vision is for everyone with a brain tumour to feel less afraid, less alone and more in control.
A brain tumour diagnosis brings with it the double impact of a cancer diagnosis and a progressively debilitating neurological disease.
Brain tumour treatment is complex and nearly always harmful, and diagnosis brings with it enormous impact on well-being and mental health. Fear, isolation, disempowerment and loss of control abound.
This is where we help. We provide personalised brain tumour support, to help you live life with a brain tumour.
Follow the Seagulls is a long-distance, charity trek to help people with brain cancer get the support they need. It’s your chance to do something truly incredible that matches your passion to help the 100,000 people in the UK who are afraid and alone because of their brain tumour diagnosis.
