Putting their best foot forward for ‘Team Grandad’
We are so very proud and truly honoured to introduce to you two incredible girls, Sophie & Niamh, who took on the 5.6 mile Great Orme Circular located near Llandudno in memory of their late Grandad Alan.
Sophie came up with the wonderful idea that she would like to raise money to enable brainstrust to support people like her Grandad and asked her cousin, Niamh to help. The location of the walk holds a very special place in the heart of all the family as this was one of their Grandads favourite places.
Wearing matching ‘Team Grandad’ t-shirts and RNLI caps as their Grandad so often wore, the girls set off with great determination not only to raise vital funds for the brain tumour community, but to make their Grandad proud. Without a shadow of doubt, they did just that!
We’d like to thank Sophie & Niamh for the kindness and generosity they have shown towards the wider brain tumour community. Raising an incredible £800 has meant we are able to support more people diagnosed with a brain tumour and ensure they live their best possible day, every day.
brainstrust also provides support to family, friends and caregivers. If you have been affected by a brain tumour diagnosis, please reach out to us by calling 01983 292 405 or by emailing hello@brainstrust.org.uk.
