It’s been a fantastic weekend of fundraising for brainstrust. Thousands of runners dressed as Santa descended on London’s Victoria Park for the Santa Run 2016.
Our team of runners ran 5km or 10km, raising more than £700 to help people living with brain cancer.
It was also a great opportunity to raise awareness of our work and how we help people with a brain tumour and their families to feel less afraid and more in control. Jill, our support specialist in London, and Kathryn, our community fundraiser, were there to cheer on the runners, and explain more about what we do.
In the North, we were also getting into the festive spirit, attending two Christmas markets. The first was in Buxton on Saturday, followed by the Otley Victorian Christmas Market on Sunday. We raised around £600.
Thank you to everyone who supported us. It’s thanks to you that we can support the thousands of people in the UK who are living with a brain tumour this Christmas.
