Radlett Reform Synagogue
Today, our Support Specialist, Jane, had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful community at Radlett Reform Synagogue. Last Summer, the congregation launched their annual ‘High Holy Day’ appeal, a traditional time of year to donate to good causes. Inspired by the personal support their member, Steven, received from brainstrust, we were kindly chosen as a beneficiary charity.
The appeal was warmly welcomed by all and it’s success far surpassed their initial fundraising target. We were thrilled to receive their incredible donation of £5,064.33, a total to be extremely proud of.
Raising funds with pride
As a collective, their extraordinary fundraising total will touch the lives of families who are living with the devastation of a brain tumour diagnosis. The kindness and generosity shown by all at Radlett Reform Synagogue has funded the cost of providing 126 brain boxes. Our brain boxes act as an invaluable toolkit specifically designed for brain tumour patients and their carers. Included within are our resources, which cover topics such as radiotherapy, proton beam therapy, fatigue and how to have a difficult conversation. As a special touch, we also add in some little treats to make people smile, prompting the notion to relax and focus on the importance of self-care.
A special thank you to all at Radlett Reform Synagogue, a Jewish community of over 850 families throughout South Hertfordshire and the neighbouring regions. We are extremely grateful for their support, which as you can see, has an incredible impact far and wide.
