We send out an average of 50 brain boxes a month to people who have recently received a brain tumour diagnosis and their loved ones, but last month we had a record 100 requests for this support.
This is why we are launching The Brain Box Appeal to help raise vital funds to enable us to continue to provide our tailor-made support.
We appreciate how difficult things can be once you are diagnosed with a brain tumour; the ‘4.00am moments’, the travelling to and from appointments, the stream of questions that pop into your head, trying to remember the jobs of all the people that you’ll meet on your journey, and knowing who to turn to and when. A juggling act that you don’t need when you just want to focus your energy on feeling better.
The brainstrust brain box is our must have support toolkit for people with a new brain tumour diagnosis and their caregivers. It’s fully customisable, with resources relevant to each person’s unique situation, the brain box also comes with treats like teabags and self-care items to remind them to take time to look after themselves.
The brain box is available to order for free for brain tumour patients, or their loved ones, and we also provide little brain boxes for parents whose child has a brain tumour. To find out more about requesting a brain box click here.
