We were thrilled when Gez Danby got in touch saying he wanted to celebrate his birthday by raising awareness of the support and help that we can offer brain tumour patients.
In his brainstrust t-shirt, and laden with brainstrust balloons and leaflets, Gez set off by bicycle from Holmfirth to London on 31st May.
Gez cycled the Grand Union Canal for the main part and used as many off road routes, and the canal network itself, as possible. Superb weather, great accommodation, wonderful people and a memorable birthday celebration at Foxton Locks made this a special trip for him. Gez arrived in London and caught up with family, before returning home (by train!) on 9th June. We hope you waved if you saw him whizzing past. We are very grateful for his incredible support. His awareness raising will have an impact on our work and bring patients to us who need our help.
So from all here at brainstrust … Thank you Gez, and Happy Birthday!
