Sam, Kate, Ciara, Tom and Rachel aka the ‘Brainy Bunch‘ walked 100km from London to Brighton in May this year and raised a PHENOMENAL £15,962.00.

Speaking about the challenge Sam said: “We chose brainstrust because my husband, Paul, was diagnosed with a brain tumour in April 2018 and we wanted to do something to give back to the charity that has supported us. Hopefully the contribution we have made will allow brainstrust to continue doing a fantastic job of helping others in the same position.  We are absolutely delighted with the amount raised – thank you SO much to all of our supporters! We had a target of £5,000 to start with but doubled that within our first two weeks of fundraising, and still smashed that increased target.

We’ve been absolutely blown away by the generosity and support of everyone who has contributed. A big thanks to our friend s and family too, for helping us train, ferrying us around, coming to the midnight stop to give us moral support (and chocolate cakes) and being there at the end to pour fizz in our mouths (and listen to us moan about how tired we were).”
