Golfers at Darenth Valley Golf Club in Sevenoaks enjoyed a day on the green to raise money to help people with brain cancer.
More than 50 people including brainstrust supporters, Darenth Valley Golf Club members and Churchill BNI chapter members took part. Together the golfers raised an amazing £3,600, which will be used to support people living with a brain tumour.
Thanks to brainstrust supporter Gail Gulvin for making it such a great day. Gail not only organised the day’s activities and fundraising, but also secured sponsorship for the day.
brainstrust’s Kathryn presented the trophies. “It was such a pleasure to see so many well-meaning people gather for a sunny Friday to play golf for brainstrust. The atmosphere over lunch was so upbeat, constant laughter and chat, just how a community fundraising event should be.”
The day was such a success that brainstrust has been confirmed as the 2017 charity of the year for Bromley Ladies Golf Club at Darenth Valley, and Gail has already offered to run a similar golf day event next year.
