A longtime supporter of ours, Bev Dickens, is braving the heights and taking part in a ‘brainstrust first’ charity Wing Walk!
Bev’s brother, Shaun Skinner, had been diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour in 2007 and in 2012 came to us with the idea and wanted to “turn the world grey on 1st October” (Wear Grey) to raise awareness around brain tumours. Shaun sadly passed away in 2017 and since then, Bev has actively fundraised for brainstrust in her brother’s memory. From hosting a coffee and cake morning, participating in a skydive and fundraising alongside our Wear Grey campaigns and G&T Fest Bev said:
The reason I want to fundraiser for brainstrust is because of my brother, knowing he was involved in tasking brainstrust with the Wear Grey campaign & it helped him, I want to carry on helping as & when I can.
Thank you for your continued support Bev which will make an incredible difference to the brain tumour community.
