Ravi’s choir hits “gold” for brain tumour awareness in last night’s Britain’s Got Talent!
brainstrust is delighted to report that Ravi’s Dream Team choir was “golden buzzered” into the semi finals of Britain’s Got Talent last night. Ravi Adelekan aged 8, has been raising funds for both brainstrust and the brain tumour charity since he was diagnosed with a brain tumour and to date has raised over £100,000. As part of his fundraising efforts, Ravi has put together a choir made up of his family, teachers, healthcare professionals and other children from the brain tumour community. Another member of the choir is brainstrust’s very own Steph Coffey (Senior Fundraising Officer)!
It is a rare day in the brainstrust office when we are discussing a staff member’s singing performance on last night’s Britain’s Got Talent, but today is such a day!
Over 5.5 million people watched the programme and as our CEO Will Jones comments;
“It’s about shining a spotlight on the remarkable resilience and strength of those affected by brain tumours, Ravi and his choir are flying the flag for the entire brain tumour community. Congratulations to Ravi and to all members of the choir, we are cheering you every step of the way”.
Steph Coffey, who will be singing in the choir for the live semi- final said;
“Being part of Britain’s Got Talent and representing brainstrust is an incredible honour and a fabulous opportunity to amplify the voices of those who need support.”
