Thrive with good nutrition: gut health and immunity
Thursday 20 April at 11:00
Answers to questions about gut health may be hidden in the millions of bacteria that live in your gut. These bacteria make up your gut microbiome – the largest collection of bacteria in your body. It starts forming when you’re born, then grows and changes as you age. Your diet sustains these bacteria. In turn, they help you digest food and absorb essential vitamins and nutrients. But keeping your gut healthy when living with a brain tumour is not always easy.
Join us for this session where Nutritionist Jane Rose-land will explain:
- Gut bacteria and microbes and their influence on nerve messaging
- How the general, species and strain of bacteria influence our mood and mental health
- The health of the Gut and nutrient absorption and how this influences the health of the brain and affects neuro-inflammation
- The health of the Gut and toxin clearance – lessening the detrimental affect of toxin exposure.
