When Karen was diagnosed with a meningioma last year, she received a brain box, and found the information inside so useful that she decided to give something back to other people with a brain tumour.
During lockdown, Karen has been making funky face masks to not only keep people safe during the Coronavirus pandemic, but to raise vital funds for brainstrust during this uncertain time.
“I was diagnosed with a meningioma last year and have just had my annual follow up scan and awaiting results as in watch and wait. I received one of the brain boxes full of brilliant useful information after my diagnosis and was so grateful for it.”
Splitting her fundraising between brainstrust and her local animal rescue centre, Karen has so far raised £2o0 through the sale of her masks! We are so thankful for her community spirit and generosity.
