Join us for another wonderful Lark Rise Bike Ride!
A ride for everyone! Family friendly, safe and accessible, we cycle through the historic landscape of Flora Thompson’s classic ‘Lark Rise to Candleford’.
There is a choice of a short, medium and long route with the start and finish being Swallows Nursery, Mixbury, NN13 5RR. There will be refreshment stops along the way (first stop is common to all rides) and a BBQ fundraiser on return to Mixbury.
Check-In & Start Times;
- short route (approx. 14 miles) 9am – 10am
- medium route (approx. 25 miles) 8:30am – 10:00am
- long route (approx. 40 miles) 8:30am – 09:30am (latest)
You will follow undulating country lanes, ancient tracks and bridleways, through beautiful parkland and rolling fields and woods. The short and medium route will suit families, while the long route will challenge even experienced off-roaders as it passes through the edge of the Silverstone race track and back through the dramatic landscape of the Stowe Estate.
