Hannah recently organised a special hamper raffle at the salon where she works, rallying support from colleagues, clients, friends, and family. The fundraiser was held in loving memory of her dad, Norman, who she and her family heartbreakingly lost last year to a brain tumour.
The raffle raised an incredible £415.00, which will go directly towards helping brainstrust provide personalised support and build resources for people living with a brain tumour and their loved ones. For brainstrust, every pound raised helps ensure that no one has to face a brain tumour diagnosis alone.
In Hannah’s own words;
My inspiration to fundraise was my dad, Norman. We only got 4 weeks from diagnosis to his death. Very shocking no real signs. Secondary cns lymphoma in the brain. He was in remission for 8 years.
The life and soul of our family.
After losing one of the most truly special people in my life to a brain tumour it’s made me want to help others and families that are affected by this awful disease. I feel proud knowing my contribution can somewhat help others.
For anyone thinking of fundraising for brainstrust…..personally I felt I wanted to donate to a charity in memory of my dad targeting the cause of how sadly we lost him. brainstrust just really stood out for me after seeing all the amazing work they do.
From all of us at brainstrust, thank you to Hannah and everyone who supported the raffle; your kindness ensures more families receive the care and support they need when facing a brain tumour diagnosis.
