The BBC have announced today that the DCVax trial is up and running at King’s Hospital London. Keyoumars Ashkan, a neurosurgeon at King’s, is leading the UK arm of the trial. He says there is a pressing need for new and better treatments for brain cancers.
This is welcome news for GBM patients, well done Ash and the team at Kings. For information, the vaccine needs to be given in the very tight window between biopsy and treatment beginning, and we know that the trial is now full.
