The Great brainstrust Create-Off
This year, we’re theming Brain Tumour Awareness Month around self-care. Real self-care, not just bubble baths and some scented candles (although if they work for you, then great!)! Did you know that art and creativity is a fantastic way to unwind, relax and recharge – even if you’re a complete beginner?
That’s why we’re launching The Great brainstrust Create-Off, our brand new competition open to all ages and abilities. Are you ready to create your masterpiece?
Whether you’re living with the effects of a brain tumour, or you’re caring for a loved one, your well-being couldn’t be more important. By dedicating some time to this project, you’ll explore what makes you one of a kind as you put your personality on paper.
Get creative. Be inspired. Have fun. Join us as we dedicate this month to the 60,000 people living with a brain tumour here in the UK.
How to enter
Step 1: Draw or paint anything that puts your personality on the page! Use any method or style, just make sure it’s in landscape format.
Step 2: Take a picture of your masterpiece. Be sure to keep the original on hand – if you’re selected as a winner, we’ll need you to send us the physical copy.
Step 3: Email your picture to sophie@brainstrust.org.uk before 31st March 2021. Please include your full name, age, address and what your artwork means to you.
Winners will feature in our 2022 brainstrust calendar!
Making self-care meaningful for you
Self-care and wellness are terms thrown around a lot on the internet these days, and it can be hard to know what they actually mean. Real self-care – moving beyond the bubble baths and scented candles on Instagram – can be transformative in helping you rest and recharge, connect to your inner self and live a life that is aligned with your values.
When living with and beyond a brain tumour, these things are more important than ever. For Brain Tumour Awareness Month, we’ll be exploring different elements of self-care and how you can incorporate them into your life. Our brainstrust webinars are free to join, with an open invitation to anyone impacted by a brain tumour diagnosis. Click here to see our event calendar!
