In a moving tribute to their much-loved colleague and friend, Kieran Dunlop — who sadly passed away from a brain tumour in February 2025 — a dedicated team from Lumo, alongside some of Kieran’s family and friends, bravely took on the mighty Yorkshire Three Peaks.
The team’s incredible effort not only honoured Kieran’s passion for making a difference but also raised vital funds to help people living with a brain tumour. Their determination and spirit shone through every mile of the challenge, making a powerful tribute to Kieran’s life and legacy.
One of the team members, Danielle Daglish, Customer Experience Team Manager at Lumo and a close friend of Kieran, shared:
It’s been an awful time for Kieran’s family and all of his friends and colleagues. Nothing can replace him, but any small difference we can make to support brainstrust is so valuable.
Jen Clare, Service Delivery Director at Lumo, said:
Everyone at Lumo was devasted to lose our beloved colleague and friend Kieran to brain cancer in February this year. Life can be incredibly cruel at times. Kieran had so much of his life still to lead and so much to do. His loss has impacted the whole organisation and we’re keen to do everything we can to honour his memory and raise money for brainstrust.
At brainstrust, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone at Lumo, as well as Kieran’s family and friends, who took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks in his memory. Together, they have already raised an amazing £18,500, with donations continuing to come in, a wonderful tribute that brings hope and vital support to people living with a brain tumour and their loved ones.
