The team at Atlas Copco organised a charity football match in honour of their colleague’s wife, Rebecca, who courageously battled a brain tumour. This heartfelt event was not only a tribute to Rebecca’s memory but also a powerful way for the team to give back to the community. Motivated by their shared experiences and the impact of brain tumours, the Atlas Copco team came together to raise funds and awareness for brainstrust. Their commitment to this cause reflects the strong bonds of friendship and solidarity that define their workplace, making a meaningful difference for others facing similar challenges.
Rebecca’s husband, James, says:
I just want to say a few words as a thank you all for this charity initiative and your kind donations to brainstrust in aid of my wife Rebecca who sadly passed away with a Glioblastoma brain tumour. As you may imagine Rebecca’s passing is still very raw and this gesture means a lot to me and our three boys Josh, Harry and George. She was a strong and courageous woman who never complained about her situation and fought until the end. We have some comfort in the fact that we tried everything to save her, but it is initiatives like this that bring much joy by helping others. The money raised by the event will go to brainstrust, a charity set up to support others suffering a similar fate as Rebecca.
