Run, row or ride….do it your way!
The challenge is to complete 30 miles over 30 days, supporting the 30 people diagnosed with a brain tumour every day in the UK. For those 30 individuals, the path ahead can feel daunting and uncertain. By participating in Run Row Ride, your goal is to raise £200, helping brainstrust provide vital support so families can feel less afraid, less alone, and more in control.
An Inclusive Challenge for Everyone.
Challenging sporting events have always been a thrilling part of our fundraising, but we understand that for many, these types of challenges aren’t feasible. A brain tumour diagnosis can make it difficult to even consider taking on a long run or walk.
Run Row Ride is an inclusive event that everyone can take part in, allowing participants to set their own challenge, whatever that may be. It’s also a great opportunity to come together as a community, pushing ourselves to try something new, positive, and uplifting as we head into the colder, darker months.
Create Your Own 30-Day Challenge: Make It Personal, Make It Count
Set yourself a 30 day challenge, your way. For example, you could:
- Explore a different street in your neighbourhood each day as you challenge yourself to 30 days of walking.
- Challenge yourself to walk a certain number of steps every day, whether that’s just up and down your garden, in the gym, or even around your kitchen.
- Focus on the joy of nature, rather than the physical challenge, and set yourself the goal of getting outside to make a new discovery each day.
Whether you stay indoors at the gym or venture into the great outdoors, your amazing fundraising efforts will support the 30 people who hear the words “you have a brain tumour” today.
Why we’re asking you to get involved!
By raising £200 you could fund five brain boxes; our must-have support toolkit for people newly diagnosed with a brain tumour. Customised for each individual every brain box includes a selection of brainstrust -accredited resources to help them feel informed and prepared to face the road ahead, as well as small gifts to help them practice some self-care.
I remember when I got my brain box, it felt like a warm hug, and stopped me from feeling alone. I hope someone else gets to feel the same. – Patient
When you sign up you’ll receive a fundraising pack which will include a brainstrust t-shirt or vest.
And yes, the stylish brainstrust water bottle (pictured) is available to order here to complete your look!
