In “Long-term health-related quality of life in meningioma survivors: A mixed-methods systematic review”, a range of literature was reviewed to assess health-related quality of life (HRQOL) in people who were more than two years post-diagnosis of a meningioma.
The January 2024 review, from Leeds-based researchers, highlights areas of HRQOL that are impacted in long-term survivorship for people with a meningioma. The areas include physical, emotional, social and cognitive functioning – and are collated from findings in 21 publications from 16 different studies.
We hope the findings, and greater recognition of long-term HRQOL and meningioma symptom burden will aid access to, and development of, support services.
The full systematic review is published in Oxford Academic’s Neuro-Oncology Advances.
