Have you or your loved one been impacted by a brain tumour diagnosis? Would you like a space to focus on boosting your wellbeing and an opportunity to connect with others who truly understand?
Join us at the beautiful Maggie’s Swansea building for an in-person workshop from brainstrust and a talk from Dr Jennifer Kahan, a clinical oncologist, on Monday 29th January at 3pm.
The workshop will be on the topic of “Behaviour and Personality Change”. Together, we will explore what behaviour change means and looks like, and discuss different strategies to cope.
Dr Jennifer Kahan, a clinical oncologist at Singleton Hospital, will also join us to talk about side effects and symptom management in relation to the brain tumour journey.
There will also of course be time to relax, connect and speak with others in the local community, over a cup of tea.
Please note: this is an in-person event for the local community, and it will not be available virtually, or recorded.
Getting to Maggie’s Swansea:
By car – If you are coming from the Sketty direction, take the first exit on the left from Sketty Lane. You will see a big, orange ‘Maggie’s’ sign. The next left will take you to the centre car park. There is a small car park outside the centre (behind the Cancer Genetics building).
To access the entrance from the car park, walk along the garden path, through the allotment. There are two trees in large pots at the end of the path. The front door is to the left of the trees.
By public transport – There are a number of buses that stop at Singleton Hospital. Maggie’s is located at the back of Singleton Hospital, next to the Cancer Genetics building.
Accessibility – The entrance to the centre can be located from the car park, which has disabled parking bays. The car park is a short, flat walk from the centre. There is an accessible toilet and a lift in the centre.
