Teafest at Tonbridge
Local scientist and educator, Neil Bindemann, is bringing the ultimate TEAFEST event to Tonbridge, and you’re all invited! With the support of a passionate and diverse committee, Neil and the team are busy organising TEAFEST at Tonbridge Castle. An event like no other, you’ll have the opportunity to visit a wide range of bespoke tea exhibitors who will explore the benefits of their products and the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle. Alongside stage talks, you can enjoy a vast array of entertainment throughout the day and into the evening. The perfect blend of wellness for all the family!
We’re extremely grateful to have been selected as the chosen charity for this event. Funds raised will be used to support the brain tumour community – a community close to Neil’s heart.

About Neil
Neil trained in both Immunology (BSc – University of Glasgow) and Neurobiology (PhD – University College London) and has a keen interest in the developing science of neuro-immunology, especially concerning mental health. Through Innervate Ltd, which he set up in 2001, Neil has a passion for supporting advances in healthcare communication between professionals and the public, working in partnership with healthcare professionals. He has stimulated the creation of various initiatives including the Primary care and Community Neurology Society and Community Therapists Network.
Then in 2015, after a period of disturbing neurological symptoms, Neil’s interest in neuroimmunology, mental health and healthcare communication became more personal, when he was diagnosed with a very rare benign brain tumour – pineocytoma. Over the last year Neil has taken his experience to continue to fuel his passion for supporting patient-professional communication/relationships, exploring the developing concept of mental fitness, which ultimately is about supporting quality of life.
