Our brainstrust impact reporting reveals that the sooner people access brainstrust’s support on their journey, the greater the impact our help has. This is why we have launched a campaign this year to make sure we are more accessible, sooner and more fairly across the 4 nations of the United Kingdom.

In the Summer we shared that we had been awarded funding from the National Lottery Community Fund’s Awards for All Wales programme to bring our “Help faster, fairer, sooner” campaign to Wales. With this support we are able to translate our most popular resources into Welsh language. The latest addition to our Welsh language resources library is our brainstrust guide to “Who’s who in your clinical team”. This is a guide to the titles and roles of all the clinical individuals a brain tumour patient is likely to meet on their clinical journey and how to act as the “conductor of the orchestra”. It is easy to be overwhelmed or confused by the numbers of people a patient may encounter in their treatment and this guide seeks to make it clear which clinician does what and how best to manage this team. The guide can be found in the Resources section of the brainstrust website and by clicking here; hylyw-february-2023-welsh-1.pdf
