brain tumour Wales

We keep hearing the words “I wish I’d found brainstrust sooner on my journey”

We know from our impact reporting that the sooner people access brainstrust’s support on their journey, the greater the impact our help has.

We also know that we can be helping more people in harder to reach places.

This is why we have launched a campaign this year to make sure we are more accessible, sooner and more fairly across the 4 nations of the United Kingdom.

In the Summer we shared that we had been awarded funding from the National Lottery Community Fund’s Awards for All Wales programme to bring our “Help faster, fairer, sooner” campaign to Wales. With this support we are able to translate our most popular resources into Welsh language, and over the coming weeks we will be sharing our information, in Welsh, with the people that need it in Wales.

This week we are able to share with you the first of our Welsh language resources – the Support Catalogue. The brainstrust support catalogue is the gateway to our support and information and should be available to everyone who has been diagnosed with a brain tumour at the earliest point on their journey – diagnosis. Too many people hear the words “you have a brain tumour”, then don’t know where to turn. Their world is turned upside down in an instant, and the circumstances and next steps are overwhelming. The Support Catalogue helps, providing a vital springboard to help people be less alone, less afraid and more in control throughout their brain tumour journey.
