A huge brainstrust congratulations to Tracey Howe who has now passed the half way point on her epic trek walking 5000 miles around the coastline of Britain. Tracey set off on 1st November last year from Glasgow and calculates that to date she’s walked 5.2 million steps. Tracey is walking on average 20 miles a day in every kind of weather and over every type of terrain and the entire trek will take 12 months. Tracey has taken on this challenge in memory of her wife of 37 years Angela, who died recently aged 58. Tracey’s Trek is raising funds for the charities, including brainstrust, that supported Angela through her illness.
Tracey is now walking through Kent and is intending to walk up the east coast of the UK in Norfolk and Yorkshire before heading to Scotland for the last leg of her journey. To learn more about Tracey’s story and her coastal challenge, visit her fundraising page here
