SUMMARY:VSWear: Wearables study for people with vestibular schwannoma - online webinar
DESCRIPTION:Hear from Dr Shay Sivanathan about upcoming research study VSWear aiming to better understand dizziness in vestibular schwannoma. \nLiving with vestibular schwannoma can make balance problems and dizziness part of everyday life. These symptoms are common\, but they can be difficult to describe\, measure and understand. \nThis online session introduces VSWear\, a new research study led by the University of Oxford and the John Radcliffe Hospital. \nThe project uses wearable technology to explore how balance and dizziness affect people in daily life\, with the aim of helping doctors recognise these symptoms earlier and develop better ways to support people in the future. \nDuring the webinar\, lead researcher Dr Shay Sivanathan will explain how the study works\, what taking part involves\, and how PRIME worked alongside the research team to help shape the study around the experiences and needs of people living with vestibular schwannoma. There will also be time for questions and open discussion. \nWhether you are interested in taking part or simply want to learn more about the research\, we would be delighted to welcome you. \nWho is this event for? \nPrimarily\, people affected by vestibular schwannoma/acoustic neuroma. As it’s an informational webinar it is not restricted to people affected by vestibular schwannoma/acoustic neuroma\, however it may be less relevant. \n  \nPlease be advised this meetup will be held via Zoom.
