DESCRIPTION:Background\nEarly-stage clinical trials are an important first step in developing new treatments\, but deciding whether to take part can involve uncertainty around risks\, potential benefits and what to expect. \nPRIME by brainstrust is supporting researchers who want to work in partnership with adults affected by high grade glioma to better understand what shapes how people feel about early-stage trials. Your perspectives can help researchers understand what information people need when considering a trial\, what might make taking part feel more or less acceptable\, and what support and safeguards should be in place. \nWho can get involved?\nWe are looking for: \n\nPeople living with high grade glioma\nCaregivers\, family members and loved ones of someone affected by high grade glioma\nNo previous research experience is needed- we simply ask that you bring your own experiences and perspectives.\n\nWhat will you do?\nJoin a 90-minute online workshop with brainstrust to explore your thoughts and feelings about early-stage clinical trials. \nWe’ll talk about what you would want to know before considering a new treatment\, what might influence your decision to take part\, and what support or safeguards would matter to you. \nThis will be a small\, informal conversation with no scientific knowledge needed. Your perspectives will help shape how researchers approach early-stage trials and the needs of people considering taking part. \nPlease note that these workshops will take place online via Zoom.
