SUMMARY:Help Shape a Glioblastoma Trial for People Aged 65 & Over - online focus group
DESCRIPTION:Background  \nGlioblastoma (GBM) is the most common and aggressive brain tumour in adults. People aged 65 and over are often underrepresented in clinical trials\, and existing treatments can be harder for them to tolerate. This new research will explore whether adding a new treatment to standard radiotherapy and temozolomide chemotherapy (RT-TMZ) can improve outcomes for newly diagnosed patients in this age group. \nWho can get involved?  \nPeople diagnosed with a GBM\, aged 65+ and their caregivers. No research experience needed \nWhat will you do?  \nJoin a 60 minute discussion group with brainstrust and the research team and provide feedback to help make sure the trial feels manageable\, relevant and designed around the realities of everyday life. This will be a small\, informal online conversation with no research experience or specialist knowledge needed. \nWhether you would like to share your thoughts throughout or simply listen and contribute where you feel comfortable\, your perspective would be hugely valuable. \n  \nPlease be advised this meetup will be held via Zoom.
