The Big Father's Day Skydive
Back in March, on Mother’s Day, we held our first set of brainstrust skydives. A group of amazing people turned up to their local airfield, jumped 10,000 feet for brain tumour support and had an experience which they’ll remember for life.
It was such a special experience that we decided to do it all again, this time for the dads.
Do it for Dad
On Sunday 19 June brainstrust is taking over three airfields across the country for a mass participation skydiving challenge.
We know how hard it is, when you have a brain tumour in the family, and we know how many challenges a dad will have to face, whether he's a carer or living with a brain tumour himself.
Show your dad how much you appreciate how he, everyday, faces these challenges by taking on a huge one yourself. Jump 10,000 feet for Dad.
Skydives are taking places in:
Don’t worry, you won’t be alone. Not only will you be strapped to an instructor at all times during this tandem dive, but you’ll also be joining many others across the UK who’ll also be diving for their dad.
What your jump will mean for brain tumour support
Carol Cochrane, our Support Specialist in Scotland, lost her dad to a brain tumour in 2012. She knows personally how much support a family needs when faced with a terrifying brain tumour diagnosis. That’s why, back in March, she alongside some friends decided to jump out a plane in memory of her dad.
We’ll spend the money that you raise in sponsorship from the skydive to help more families take control follow a terrifying diagnosis. Together, we’ll ensure that no family faces things alone.
We simply ask that you raise £500 in so that we can help more people living with a brain tumour and, in return, we’ll pay for your skydive and the booking fee.
We’ll support you with fundraising every step of the way and we’ll be there, cheering, as you jump on the big day.
