Brighton Marathon Weekend 2016: Run the full marathon or 10K for brain tumour support
The Brighton Marathon is one of the UK's favourite 26.2-milers. Taking place in one of the country's most vibrant cities, with a stunning sea backdrop, the race gets bigger and better every year. And once again, you can take on this challenge for brain tumour support in the UK by joining team brainstrust for the full marathon or 10K.
Renowned for its buzzing atmosphere and roaring crowd support, the course winds through the city streets, finishing up on the spectacular Brighton seafront.
The marathon is not the only event you can run with team brainstrust. This year we also have places for the 10K, so that you can still be a part of the action, without having the take on the mammoth 26 miles.
The interactive map below will give you a feel of what to expect on the big day.
Why run with team brainstrust?
“brainstrust has been a shining light in my dark days. Just knowing someone is there is real comfort… It’s great to just know other people truly understand how hard it is sometimes”- Brain tumour patient
Your participation in either the Brighton Marathon or 10K will be vital in helping us support more people in the UK who so desperately need our help. The funds you raise will go towards building resources for these people, which will help them feel less alone, less afraid and more in control in the face of a terrifying brain tumour diagnosis.
Entry for either race is free, we just ask that you raise £300 in sponsorship for the full marathon, or £150 if you chose the 10K- so that we can help more people living with and beyond a terrifying brain tumour diagnosis.
We'll send you a fundraising pack and a team brainstrust running shirt to wear on the day, as well as support you with your training and on the big day itself.
