Royal Marsden Neuro-Oncology Conference
Following the success of the first conference in 2012, the Royal Marsden are holding a second Neuro-Oncology Conference day on Thursday, 2 October 2014.
The aim of the conference is to provide an interesting and multi-disciplinary update on what is new, clinically relevant and controversial in the management of patients with brain tumours. Guest speakers bring their extensive knowledge and expertise in Neuro-Oncology along with their passion, to stimulate in-depth discussions.
To further enhance this, attendees are invited to submit individual case studies (please provide at least two weeks prior to the event) for discussion with the panel.
The Royal Marsden Neuro-Oncology Conference programme
The day, supported by brainstrust, begins at 08.45, and closes at 17.00. CPD accreditation has been applied for from the Royal College of Physicians.
The programme is exciting, with topics to include discussions around the need for surgical confirmation in light of advances in brain tumour imaging, biological markers, radiosurgery, advances in surgery, and accessibility of current clinical trials. After lunch the programme moves to talking about new drugs on the horizon, the role of the CNS and Nurse led clinics and the role of AHPs in the management of brain tumour patients.
