We would love to see you at a brainstrust event!
  • Scottish Half Marathon - help us set up TEN more Meet Ups for people with a brain tumour in Scotland.

The Scottish Half Marathon is the newest event on the UK’s running calendar - come and be a part of it, and know that you're doing something  amazing for brain tumour support in Scotland.

Scottish Half Marathon for brain tumour support

The route is seriously flat & rapid - if you want to set a personal best for a half marathon, then this is the event for you. Starting conveniently at 11am just outside Edinburgh, you run along the magnificent East Lothian Golf Coast before finishing in the final furlong at Musselburgh Racecourse, Scotland’s oldest racecourse.

If you don't fancy doing it alone, we also have the Duo Challenge event which allows two participants to run the half marathon distance between them - you just need to decide who gets the glory leg!

If you've never run before, or this will be your 100th running event, you can't afford to miss out on what is going to be the 'must-do' running event of 2014. It's new, it's fresh and it's exciting - give it a go and set your 2014 challenge today! Why not come and be part of history in the inaugural year!

The funds you raise will be used to run more brain tumour support groups (Meet Ups) in Scotland

You can be safe in the knowledge that every penny you raise will be used to help brain tumour patients and carers in Scotland.

We need to raise £4500 for brain tumour support in Scotland at this year's Scottish Half Marathon. Every pennyMeetup will be used to run 10 more Meet Ups for people battling a brain tumour in Scotland. These Meet Ups will be held across the country, wherever they are needed most, and will be supplementary to our existing programme.

Living with a brain tumour is an isolating experience. We know. And that's why we run these Meet Up events, so that people facing this devastating disease can know that they are not alone and share insight and experience in an informal, but useful way. "What a great night! It was great to speak to others that have a living experience of what we're going through, and to reap the benefits of their stories. Nice relaxed atmosphere, and made welcome by everyone else" - Patient, brainstrust Meet Up in Glasgow.

We know that once diagnosed with a brain tumour, it's difficult to find others in the same situation as you in Scotland. And that's why we need your support at the Scottish Half Marathon - every penny you raise will help us build a useful, stronger community for brain tumour patients across the country. So please, sign up today.
