Join team brainstrust at the Brighton Marathon
The Brighton Marathon is another Spring team brainstrust event where you can show your support for the 55,000+ people in the UK battling a brain tumour.
Better still, training for the Brighton Marathon will be a great way to fend off the ill side-affects of any festive over indulgence
The Brighton Marathon is an exciting race, with 18,000 places up for grabs. The 2014 Brighton Marathon will take place on Sunday 6th April and should be the best event yet. With more runners, huge crowds and some exciting developments, the UK’s most exciting new marathon will be taken to a whole new level. And now you can take part in this event to make a real difference for people battling a brain tumour diagnosis.
The course, on traffic-free tarmac roads, is fast. Crowds line most of the route giving an atmosphere unmatched anywhere else in the world. The 2014 Brighton Marathon will be televised for the first time on Channel 4.

The Brighton Marathon Course
The most significant rise is in the first kilometre around Preston Park. There are a few more undulations through the first 10 miles. From 15km the course descends back into the town centre and the second half is extremely flat.
The previous course included a loop around Ovingdean Hall College, which has since been removed and replaced by an extended loop in Portslade.
For the final few miles participants can enjoy running through a massed corridor of thousands of spectators along the Promenade, before finishing on Madeira Drive, just east of Brighton Pier.
Training for the Brighton Marathon
